Marketplace Hunter is run by Konstantinos Moraitis, a sole trader trading as Marketplace Hunter, of 26 The Hornet, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 7BB ("we" in this policy). We are the controller of your personal data and are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office ([ICO registration number]). Questions about your data: support@marketplacehunter.co.uk.
What we collect and why

We don't use advertising trackers, sell your data or use it to build marketing profiles.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run Marketplace Hunter, under contracts that protect your data:
- DigitalOcean: hosting, in London, UK.
- Apple: iPhone app subscriptions, Sign in with Apple and iPhone notifications.
- Stripe: card payments on our website.
- Expo (650 Industries): delivers notifications to the iPhone app. Notification text includes the matching listing.
- PayPal or our bank: only when you cash out referral earnings.
- Our email provider: to send account emails such as password reset codes.
Some of these providers are based in the US. Where data leaves the UK we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or equivalent safeguards. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data until you delete your account. Deleting your account (in Settings) removes your searches, alerts and devices straight away. Encrypted backups are kept for 14 days, then deleted. We keep payment and referral payout records for 6 years, as UK tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, or object to or restrict how we use it. Email support@marketplacehunter.co.uk and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as Argon2 hashes. The database isn't reachable from the internet, and backups are encrypted.
Children
Marketplace Hunter is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we make significant changes, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
